I called on my buddy, my pal, my trusted percabeth advisor @ananbeth – what a dream boat tbh 

• they don’t really argue, like they have maybe 3 or 4 really big arguments throughout their lives, but for the most part they just bicker 
  
• they’re very big in-bed-before-sleep talkers 
  
• they know each other so well and exist on the same page and they can have important talks fairly easily 
  
• they bicker mostly when they’re stressed and getting on each other’s nerves 
  
• the two of them definitely have growing pains so each of them are always dealign with their own shit– Percy with his inadequacy complex and Annabeth with her abandonment one 
  
• but the older they get, the better they each get at recognizing and owning when a relationship problem is stemming from their own shit 
  
• Percy and Annabeth bicker a lot in their early/mid twenties, especially when they start working 
  
• it’s mostly over time spent together and trying to adjust to adult life 
  
• they definitely bicker because Percy wants to focus on building their life together, but Annabeth seems hyper focused on building her own career 
  
• a lot of that is Percy’s fear of her realizing she can do better and getting left behind 
  
• when Annabeth gets scared that Percy’s gonna leave, she throws herself into her work rather than telling him cause she thinks this is something I can definitely do right and I’ll never lose it
  
• it takes Percy doing something for her to remember he’s not gonna leave her– she’s been mean and crabby but at the end of the week, there he is, asleep on the couch because he had been trying to wait up for her and dinner is waiting for her in the microwave
  
• she feels herself settle 
  
• Percy is like “do you want me to get my fatal flaw tattooed on my forehead?? I’m not going anywhere.” 
  
• “I’m sorry I doubted us,” she says
  
• then she rests her forehead against his chest, all surrendered and vulnerable. Percy wraps his arms around her and holds her. (cue Hannah and I crying) 
  
• ALSO 
  
• Percy pushing Annabeth away and she gets so frustrated because this is supposed to be her thing and she is so mad– he does not get to doubt her or her love for him 
  
• she’s never even looked at anyone else other than him and he doesn’t get to pretend like she’s gonna start now 
  
• “I don’t care if you think I can do better because I know for a fact that I can’t. You’re it for me, Percy Jackson. So get that through your dense head and deal with it or so help me I will call Aphrodite herself to prove it to you.” 
  
• “No, no, please don’t!” 
  
• he stares at her, all passionate and jaw clenched and fired up 
  
• “Okay?” he says
  
• “Okay?!” 
  
• “Yes. I’m sorry.” 
  
• She deflates a little, “Can we hug now please” 
  
• except it isn’t really a question so Percy steps forward and wraps his arms around her 
  
• she kisses his neck because it’s the only part of him she can reach when his arms are wrapped around her that tightly 
  
• he just relaxes against her, letting himself feel loved 
  
• and they always work through it– together.
