One of my favourite things about Annabeth, and this is a credit to Rick Riordan, is that even while she’s being amazing and strategizing her way to victory, she’s still a teenage girl with emotions — a girl fiercely in love with her best friend, mature enough to know that he loves her back, and that together, they can do anything.
